As an artist manager and general manager of Vancouver record labels Tonic and Boompa, Kate Wattie works with a number of West Coast artists on a global level. Kate’s first taste of the music business was at Virgin Records in the UK and led to management of Not Just Another Music Shop (vintage guitar store) in Vancouver. From there Kate moved into artist management and has never looked back.

Tonic is an Americana label with a roster that includes The Harpoonist & The Axe Murderer, Tavis Triance, Rodney DeCroo, Ben Rogers, Leeroy Stagger and Buckman Coe. Boompa Records is an indie label with a roster that includes We Are The City, The Belle Game, Dralms, Woodpigeon and Mu. The overall focus of both labels is to release amazing music while helping artists nurture their creativity and get their music onto a global stage.

Kate Wattie is also a co-owner of boutique guitar store, Exile Electronics.

Rob Wright - The Feldman Agency

Rob cut his teeth in the music industry as an Alberta festival and event producer and in A&R for Stony Plain Records. But is was in the role of talent buyer for the New City Likwid Lounge that he established a reputation as the go-to guy in Edmonton. Developing strong relationships with TFA’s agents eventually landed him a job offer with the agency. He joined the team in 2005, where he’s found great satisfaction working with developing artists to help them build strong careers. Rob enjoys the challenge of working with non-traditional artists, such as spoken word artist Shane Koyczan, applying live music best practices to different mediums. Rob’s understanding of live shows runs deeper than his experience as a booking agent. He’s been musician for 20 years, performing regularly at venues of all sizes. Recently, Rob made his arena stage debut when he performed with Rich Hope at Vancouver’s Roger Arena, opening for legendary roots rocker Bob Segar. Rob is the Vice President of Solidarity Rock, an artist-run not-for-profit organization that works to partner musicians and artists in Cuba, North America and beyond to create tour opportunities, secure musical equipment and more.
