Code of Conduct

Music BC is committed to ensuring a safe and respectful workplace that is free of harassment including sexual harassment, discrimination, bullying and violence.

We require our staff, board members, association members, third-party contracts, program partners, program participants, affiliated industry professionals, service providers, and volunteers we work with to uphold an obligation to ensure they maintain a respectful workplace, including compliance with the BC Human Rights Code, Workers’ Compensation Act, and all applicable Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, Policies and Guidelines, and to commit to treat others with respect and with the utmost regard to their physical, emotional, and spiritual safety.

To that end, we require all Music BC members and program participants to abide by this Code of Conduct and the MUSIC BC POLICY FOR PROMOTING A RESPECTFUL WORKPLACE (the “Policy”)

Any suspected violation of this Code of Conduct or the Policy, can be reported to Executive Director Lindsay MacPherson at lindsay@musicbc.org. Violations are taken seriously, and appropriate action will be taken. Music BC reserves the right to terminate its relationship with any Individual that violates this Code of Conduct or the Policy.
