Thank you to all those who joined in our Travel Grant Info Session last Thursday! We hope we were able to answer all your questions regarding our upcoming deadline.

Just a reminder, Artist and Business travel grant submissions are due on Friday, March 26th at 5:00 PM PDT. Reach out to  if you have any questions about the program. Don’t wait until the last minute!

This deadline accepts applications to support initiatives between April 1st, 2023, to September 30th, 2023.

Are you ready to take the next step in your music career? Applications are open for BC’s very own intensive Artist Accelerator program, ARC, from now until May 24th.

The ARC program will advance the business, creative, and technical skills of recording artists to help them build a sustainable career in the music industry. The program spans several months and includes a music business clinic, creative retreat and final showcase event.

FACTOR DEADLINE: MAY 18TH
The Juried Sound Recording: Album program (JSR: Album) application deadline is May 18th at 5 PM EST. The program provides funding toward the costs of production or acquisition of an original full-length sound recording and contributes to the marketing and promotion of that sound recording under the Marketing, Tour Support, Showcase, Video, and Radio Marketing components.

FULL CIRCLE IS HIRING
Full Circle: First Nations Performance is currently hiring a Production Assistant. Working under the direction of the Program Manager, Associate Producers, and other assigned mentors, the Production Assistant will assist in executing the 2023 Talking Stick Festival. Responsibilities include assisting with event planning, coordination, and execution, as well as supporting day-to-day operational aspects leading up to the festival.

SPOTLIGHT OF THE WEEK



Darrian Gerard is a Canadian Pop-Rock artist who writes, records, plays, and produces all of her own music in the comfort of her home studio. Hailing from Duncan, BC, Canada, she learned how to play guitar at 7 years old then quickly picked up bass, piano, drums, and vocals.

Gerard began her professional career at the beginning of 2021 releasing her first single and has released 6 additional singles and a 5-track EP, all receiving various blog write ups, radio plays, international press, and more. Her music has been described as anthemic pop-rock, with influences of Avril Lavigne, blink-182, Halsey, and Taylor Swift.

Gerard’s highly anticipated EP, ‘Basement Stadium’ released February 10th and was funded by Creative BC’s Career Development Program as she was among 17.8% of applicants who’s received the grant. Gerard has been featured on radio shows like 103.7 MIX FM in Alberta, has accumulated over 100k streams on Spotify, and had her 4th single Old Wounds peak at #34 on the UK Alternative iTunes Chart.
