Are you dreaming of hearing your music in Film & TV? Music BC and Vancouver International Film Festival are happy to announce that applications for VIFF SOUNDOFF are now open!
SOUNDOFF is a showcasing platform during VIFF AMP with a focus on song placement in Film and TV, where artists will perform two (2) original songs and connect with a panel of domestic and international music supervisors.
Submissions will be accepted now until July 26th, 2024, and will be reviewed and curated by a jury of local industry members, VIFF and Music BC. The showcase will take place this October; artists must be available between October 1-4, 2024.

Creative BC has announced its 2024/25 Amplify BC programs, supporting the growth, competitiveness, and sustainability of B.C.’s music industry. Here is the list of music programs, with launch dates and deadlines.
From May 15-18, 2024, artists and music industry professionals from all over the world came together in the seaside town of Brighton, UK for The Great Escape. Music BC was among them, alongside some fantastic talent representing our province: Desirée Dawson, Hotel Mira, Vox Rea and Winona Forever.

WOMEN IN MUSIC MENTORSHIP PROGRAM Women in Music Canada is excited to announce the launch of a special edition of their national mentorship program! The program is dedicated to connecting trans, non-binary and 2-spirit professionals from all different skill sets. REGISTER FOR BREAKOUT WEST BreakOut West is now open for registration! This year’s event, which takes place in Saskatoon, SK from September 25-29, 2024, features a multi-genre line-up of over 50 artists across multiple venues. The festival highlights Western Canadian talent alongside select International and Pan-Canadian artists.
