ARC 2024 FACULTY FEATURES

In our last newsletter, we shared a handful of faculty members participating in ARC 2024. Here is a spotlight on another outstanding wave!

AMPLIFY BC: CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Creative BC recently announced its 2024/25 Amplify BC programs, including their Career Development Program, which is open to submissions now!

The Career Development program supports the economic growth and career development of emerging and established B.C. artists in the areas of sound recording, marketing, and music videos.

Application Deadline: September 11th, 2024

SECOND WAVE OF BREAKOUT WEST ARTISTS ANNOUNCED

BreakOut West is open for registration, and they have recently released their second wave of artists! This year’s event, which takes place in Saskatoon, SK from September 25-29, 2024, features a multi-genre line-up of over 50 artists across multiple venues. The festival highlights Western Canadian talent alongside select International and Pan-Canadian artists. BreakOut West 2024 will also include a four-day conference and the Western Canadian Music Awards. 

The second wave includes BC artists Ayla Tesler-Mabé and Terell Safadi. Stay tuned for more to be announced!

APPLY FOR CANADA HOUSE AT UK AMERICANA MUSIC WEEK 2025
CIMA will return to Hackney for the 2025 edition of UK Americana Music Week taking place from January 20-23, 2025. Canadian businesses in attendance will get the chance to showcase their artists in front of Americana buyers and industry in the UK. A business initiative will be set up to connect the Canadian business representatives with UK industry, media and buyers through one on one meetings, round table sessions and networking events during the conference.

APPLY FOR CBC’S INDIGENOUS MUSIC RESIDENCY PROGRAM
The CBC Indigenous Music Residency, powered by SOCAN Foundation, offers a 4-week creative journey in Toronto to six music creators. With mentorship, resources, and a chance to showcase your work, this program is designed to amplify the voices of First Nations, Inuit and Métis artists. Travel, accommodation, and honorarium included!

APPLY FOR FACTOR JURIED SOUND RECORDING: ALBUM PROGRAM 
FACTOR’s Juried Sound Recording: Album Program is now open for applications! This program provides funding toward the costs of production of an original full-length sound recording and contributes to the marketing and promotion of that Sound Recording under the Marketing, Tour Support, Video, Showcase, and Radio Marketing components.

APPLY FOR RADIO STARMAKER FUND
Round 92 of The Radio Starmaker Fund is open for applications! This Program funds signed artists with an established track record (defined in guidelines) with their label making a Significant Investment in their future career. Funding can support domestic and international marketing/touring activities related to a forthcoming/recent release. The Orion Program, dedicated to supporting the BIPOC community, is also open for intake.
