MEMBER OF THE WEEK

Noca Project is the brainchild of Japanese singer-songwriter Norika Yue, drummer Jeff Oman, and bassist Malcolm Strasdin. Noca Project (noca meaning “farmhouse” or “countryside” in Japanese) was born as an expression of desire for a simple pursuit of creativity.

The project embodies this mantra by exploring complex sounds with a simple point of view. Through the diverse background of the members, the group borrows sounds from folk, jazz, shoegaze, ambient, emo, alternative and pop influences.
