Ahead of the full winner reveal, a special pre-awards show program will air on CBC Radio One’s Up To Speed (89.3 FM or CBC Listen), from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. PST. Four awards will be given out during the broadcast, which will also feature performances and artist interviews.

The purpose of this program is to support investments needed to safely resume domestic concerts within the coming months. Funding will support investments allowing Canadian live music companies, organizations, and artist-entrepreneurs to plan and present in-person and hybrid concerts by Canadian artists in accordance with local, provincial, and national public health directives.

TikTok Adds New Sound Partners To Allow Brands To Leverage Audio On The Platform TikTok is announcing new partnerships aimed at making it easier for brands to tap into music and sound on the platform. Kobalt Selling Songs Catalogue To Investors Including KKR In Billion Dollar Deal Although the core Kobalt business administrates rather than owns song copyrights, its Kobalt Capital division raised a stack of cash and then bought itself some catalogues. 67% Of Music Fans Back Mandatory Use Of Masks & Vaccination At Gigs Music consumer research service MusicWatch has released a new study revealing that over two-thirds of music fans are in favour of mandatory vaccines and the use of masks at live concerts. MusicWatch surveyed 753 gig-goers to find out their stance on COVID rules and implementations, as well as their hopes for the future of COVID safety measures. – READ MORE

Beatroute magazine describes them as “danc[ing] between Paramore’s pop perfection and a late-night RCHP inspired jam session”.
