mr. stee is a Vancouver based producer / instrumentalist / DJ, with a funk based approach to production. While his tastes and inspirations are eclectic, his releases are brought together with smooth guitars, hard hitting drums and retro synths as the connective tissue. After releasing 2 full length albums in 2 years (2019’s See You Tomorrow… and 2020’s Lemons), both featuring local vocalists, he started 2021 with a beat tape of retro funk infused music entitled moments in time. He finished the year with his new EP released as part of Eastblvd Records After Hours division, Thoughts & Images – a new exploration of 90s influenced funk and disco that’s more suited to late night dance floors.
