TRAVEL GRANT APPLICATIONS OPEN

Deadline for application is January 14th, 2022 at 5:00PM (PST). Please note that Music BC will be announcing further deadlines for 2022 in the coming months as international travel restrictions and protocols become more clear.

Applications from all genders, ages, cultural backgrounds, ethnicities and other measures of diversity are highly encouraged. Artist selections will be made in partnership with festival or conference curators, and Music BC industry representatives or jurors.

NEW COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS IN PLACE

The Government of B.C. have announced further orders to reduce seated event capacity (including concerts) to 50% regardless of venue size; Bars and nightclubs will also be closed effective as of Dec 21st. Restrictions will remain in place until Jan 31st, 2022.

The restrictions are made by the Provincial Health Officer (PHO) under the Public Health Act. The next update on COVID-19 disease prevention measures will be Friday, December 31st, 2021.

LET’S HEAR IT! LIVE WILL RETURN IN 2022

Unsigned, emerging and independent artists are encouraged to apply to the Let’s Hear It! Live Concert Series! In 2022, Music BC and our curatorial partners will focus on four marquis events that will connect music industry professionals, fans and artists alike.

Applications accepted on a rolling deadline and artists need only apply once to be considered for any of the opportunities associated with the program.

Thank you to the Province of British Columbia, Creative BC, FACTOR and the Government of Canada for their support in this program.
