Buddie melds introspective lyrics with earworm melodies into bite-sized, grunge pop songs. Daniel Forrest started Buddie in 2018 as an outlet for catchy pop songs about big topics, like class struggle and environmental justice. Dan relocated to Vancouver, BC from Philadelphia, PA in 2021 and teamed up with Lindsay Partin (bass), Natalie Glubb (drums), and Patrick Farrugia (guitar). They’ve become a staple at local venues, opening for Built to Spill, Wild Pink, Dead Soft, Winona Forever, Noble Son and more, their music has charted #1 on Vancouver’s CiTR, and they’ve performed at Sled Island, Khatsahlano (Vancouver), and NXNE (Toronto). They have received praise from Bandcamp, Exclaim!, Under the Radar, Austin Town Hall, Atwood Magazine, Post-Trash, and countless others. With support from Crafted Sounds, Buddie released their third LP, “Glass”, in November 2025.
