Vancouver Island raised “swoon rock” artist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, Alexandria Maillot, guides listeners on an introspective journey through lava-lamp-lit bedrooms and rain-soaked roads with a sound that is both nostalgic yet refreshing—a favourite transistor radio playing classic vibes with a contemporary twist.

Their latest single, “Cherry Pit”, produced by Maillot and released on Edmonton-based indie label Ram On Records, marks Maillot’s first release since being diagnosed with a rare cancer in 2022. Chronicling their physical and psychological transformation, the song highlights how Maillot makes sense of this nightmarish metamorphosis by fearlessly inspecting the tides of their own psyche.
