Music BC Travel Grants

Canadian Domestic Travel Grants Now Open

July 20th, 2021

Music BC has resumed its Artist and Business Travel Grant Program for a limited intake to support Canadian Domestic travel initiatives – including showcase, touring and business travel.

We will not be accepting applications for international (including US) travel initiatives at this time.

If you have any questions regarding this limited intake deadline please be sure to read the program guidelines below and check out our FAQs. If you cannot find the answer you’re looking for, feel free to contact us at

Music BC Travel Grants provide assistance to BC based artists to participate in touring and showcasing initiatives domestically, and BC based companies and individuals undertaking business travel activities in support of the BC music community.

**Please note the guidelines for the Music BC Travel Grant Program for artists and businesses have been updated to provide additional clarity, effective immediately. Please take a moment to review our updated guidelines below.

  • Artists and Companies may submit one grant application for this deadline. A qualifying applicant and/or project does not guarantee approval. As this limited intake grant deadline is expected to be quite competitive, artists and companies are encouraged to source potential alternative funding options.
  • Emphasis will be given to applicants who have yet to receive significant funding from Music BC. For applicants who have received support through the travel grant program, consideration will be given to initiatives that have not yet been attended, visited, or funded.

Feel free to contact our office or email with any questions on the above changes.

2021 Deadline:

  • Friday August 6th, 2021 (5pm PST)

Please allow 4 weeks AFTER the deadline for our staff to notify you on the status of your application.
