SPREAD THE WORD! TELL THE LIBERALS TO KEEP THEIR PROMISE TO THE CANADA MUSIC FUND (CMF)!
We need your help to raise the voice of the music community and get this government’s attention. You can do that in seconds byusing CIMA’s action page to email Liberal MP’s and Canada’s Ministers of Heritage and Finance. Call on them to be Music Champions and remind them to keep their promise to increase the budget of the Canada Music Fund. Additionally, PLEASE tell your networks about the #canadamusicfund and use these images to share on social media!
If the government does not make good even on their $50 million promise to our sector, FACTOR’s budget could be cut in half over the next couple of years. If that happens companies will close, jobs will be lost, artists won’t get the investments they need to record or tour which will harm an already precarious local live music scene.
We need your help to raise the voice of the music community and get this government’s attention. By filling in the fields below you can email your local Liberal MP if you have one, and Canada’s Ministers of Heritage and Finance. Call on them to be Music Champions and keep their promise to increase the budget of the Canada Music Fund.

SPOTLIGHT OF THE WEEK
ROKI emerged onto the music scene with a distinctive sound that blended unique melodies and poignant lyrics. Her journey began to take a definitive shape with the release of her debut album, “MOTHER,” on April 22, 2022. The album made an indelible mark, securing the #17 spot for most added new music on non-commercial North American radio stations in its inaugural week. The influence of her music reverberated across several North American city charts, a testament to the resonance of her unique sonic identity.
In 2024, ROKI is set to continue her artistic exploration with the release of her latest single, “Foolish Heart.” The track showcases a darker and broodier side of her pop sensibilities, delving into the intricate conflict between emotions and logic. With “Foolish Heart,” ROKI demonstrates her versatility as an artist, unafraid to explore the complex nuances of human experience through her music.
