Are you a music business looking to expand your team, while mentoring the next generation of music industry professionals? This program was designed for you!
The Jumpstart Grants assists BC-based, for-profit music businesses in hiring a summer apprentice aspiring to work in the music business. This program promotes hands-on training through a 10-20 hour/week part-time work placement, coupled with invaluable industry mentorship, with the overarching goal of fostering pathways toward full-time employment in the industry.
Application Deadline: March 21st at 5:00 PM PST.

Aspiring audio engineers – the Olivia Quan Award for Audio Excellence is now accepting submissions.
This scholarship is for the future generations of young people pursuing a career in audio to learn from and be inspired by Olivia’s achievements and dedication to her craft. One (1) participant will be awarded $5000 each year of the award.
Music BC is handling applications for this award, however the family and close friends of Olivia will personally choose the recipient and issue the award.

FIMPRO is one of the most important music conferences in Mexico & Latin America. The festival features top emerging international artists while the conference component cultivates meetings with over 1000 important players in the local, national, and international music industries from across the Latin American countries.
Music BC is proud to be supporting NADUH at this event, performing on February 28th, 2024, 9:00 PM at C3, alongside 4 other exceptional Canadian acts.

WOMEN IN THE STUDIO NATIONAL ACCELERATOR Applications for the 2024 Women in the Studio National Accelerator are now open. In its sixth year, this program will offer a series of curated production and songwriting-related opportunities and networking experiences to women-identifying, gender-fluid, non-binary, and gender non-conforming producer-songwriters from across the country. APPLY FOR KEYCHANGE 2024 Calling Canada-Based artists & innovators (industry professionals) – Apply to be a part of a bespoke Keychange Talent Development Program in 2024! AMPLIFY BC MUSIC COMPANY PROGRAM Amplify BC’s Music Company program supports the sustainability, growth, and capacity of B.C.’s music companies through investing in business development activities. Applications are scored according to the priorities of the program, the economic impact of the project, and the applicant’s demonstrated capacity to deliver the project. Consisting of lead singer Kevin Roy and instrumentalist/vocalist Jon Fennell, LooPS are an award winning Canadian Acoustic-Pop duo based out of the Interior British Columbia, and are quickly making a name for themselves as the top acoustic-pop duo in BC since they formed in 2019. With a style best described as what would happen if Ed Sheeran and Lewis Capaldi had a musical baby, LooPS use loop pedals/acoustic guitar for high energy sets (which range from original tracks to unique mashups of classic covers or current hits) and piano for powerful ballads and soaring harmonies.
