Brandon William Fletcher is a renowned Director, Photographer and Graphic Artist residing in Vancouver, BC. His images and work have been commissioned by a wide range of clients including M83, Manila Grey, James Reid, Curtis Waters, Warner Music Group, Universal Music, Art d’Ecco, Kandle, Blonde Diamond, and SAXX Underwear Co.
This session will offer an introduction to key strategies for artists and music entrepreneurs to use in developing their “brand” through the mediums of videography and photography. Brandon will cover the importance of branding, provide guidance on capturing various styles of content, and share tips for creating an authentic and unique brand that stands out in a rapidly evolving industry.

BreakOut West is now open for registration! This year’s event, which takes place in Kelowna, B.C. from October 11 to 15, features a multi-genre line-up of over 50 artists. They will showcase over three nights at eight local host live music venues. BreakOut West 2023 will also include a four-day conference, and the Western Canadian Music Awards.

This January, CIMA will return to Hackney for the 2024 edition of UK Americana Music Week taking place from January 22-25. UK Americana Music Week is a conference, awards show and music festival with live Americana music from the US, Austria, Spain, Denmark, the UK and more. The day conference consists of 200+ international promoters, artists and festival owners.
Canadian businesses in attendance will get the chance to showcase their artists in front of Americana buyers and industry and have one-on-one meetings with UK industry, media and buyers during round table sessions and networking events during the conference.
Independent artists are encouraged to apply as well for a chance to showcase.

SPOTLIGHT OF THE WEEK
Denzel Osi is a Vancouver, BC based rapper, singer and songwriter. His music blends various genres, most notably melodic trap and alternative R&B. Hailing from Brandon, Manitoba, Denzel spent his youth singing in church choirs, developing a passion for music that would later shape his sound. It wasn’t until high school that he was introduced to hip hop, uncovering a genre fit to express his more complex perspectives on his past dealings with toxic relationships, substance abuse, police brutality, violence and depression. Denzel is an artist who fearlessly shares his truth through his music and unfiltered story telling, transfixing listeners to pay close attention.
