DEADLINE FOR BUSINESS ENVELOPE TRAVEL GRANTS

Tomorrow, November 3rd, is the final day to apply for our Business Envelope Travel Grant. Applications must be received by 5:00 PM PST. 

This program provides assistance to B.C.-based, for-profit music companies and entrepreneurs undertaking travel activities in support of the growth and development of their business and/or their B.C.-based artist clients. It is designed for returning grant recipients to increase funding flexibility over a 12-month period for eligible activities and expenses, supporting activities taking place between August 1, 2023 and July 31st, 2024.

Music BC’s annual Let’s Hear It event is returning to Vancouver on March 2nd, 2024, and these are your final days to apply! Applications are open until tomorrow, November 3rd at 5:00 PM PST. 

Let’s Hear It (LHI) is Music BC’s regional concert series and emerging artist showcase. The series offers a unique chance for artists from British Columbia to connect with fans and members of the music industry. In the spring of 2023, Let’s Hear It underwent a transformative evolution, transitioning from a quarterly single-showcase series into a dynamic one-day festival at multiple venues throughout the Mount Pleasant Area of Vancouver, BC.

BCCMA MUSIC EDUCATION SERIES 

This Saturday, November 4th, the BC Country Music Association is hosting their inaugural “Music Education Series” in conjunction with the 46th annual BC Country Music Awards. 

You can catch our Program Manager, Nicolle Dupas, speaking on the “Funding Your Future Panel”, as well as a number of other experts speaking on topics such as Release Strategies, Radio, and Royalties. 

This series is open to the public, and to both members and non-members of the BCCMA.

The JUNO Awards are coming to Halifax in March and submissions are now open until November 2nd! Submit to The JUNO Awards to have your music heard by Canadian music industry professionals made up of the CARAS Nominating & Voting Committee, Music Advisory Committees, CARAS Academy Delegates, and Judges.

SOCAN FOUNDATION X TD INDIGENOUS SONGWRITER AWARD
One prize of $10,000 will be offered to the award recipient. Entries submitted will be examined by a jury of prominent songwriters selected by the SOCAN Foundation. Excellence will be an overriding factor in adjudication. The jury’s decisions are final. All compositions must be submitted by applicants who are of Indigenous decent.
